C&D Aircraft Heaters and Components
C&D Technical Data
C&D continues to provide the aviation industry with the safest and most advanced combustion heater products and parts available. The superb level of reliability you have come to expect from the C&D product line must be maintained by strictly adhering to the service intervals and requirements as outlined in each component’s specific supporting technical documentation.
All of C&D’s eligibility is listed at www.aircraftheater.com. Please refer to this site to verify any and all installation substantiation.
Though C&D does offer alternate method of compliance (AMOC) to both Janitrol AD2004-21-05 and SouthWind AD81-09-09 these AMOC’s are only available through zero-time overhaul. AMOC compliance must be performed following manuals OM11000 and OM11010 (latest revision) as generated by C&D. AMOC manuals OM11000 and OM11010, are not open for distribution and may only be used with written permission from C&D Associates Inc.
“C&D Maintenance Manuals”-Updates to maintenance manuals supporting C&D heaters can be found in this section. These manuals include information specific to general upkeep and service requirements necessary for proper continued operation. As aviation safety is our chief priority, the service steps and intervals highlighted in the airworthiness limitations section of the manuals (if applicable) must be followed.

“Alternate Method of Compliance”- The alternate method of compliance or AMOC section contains two letters of acceptance, one for Janitrol and one for SouthWind. These letters describe the specifics regarding compliance through the C&D Zero-Time overhaul, necessary to relieve AD2004-21-05 and AD81-09-09.
"Airworthiness Directives"- C&D has no AD's levied on any of its product line. This section is utilized to provide AD information that may affect the insulation of a C&D heater, product or part.
