Aircraft Heaters

C&D Associates is the world’s single source for complete A.D. relief on all general aviation aircraft combustion heater products and parts.

Using the latest technology and drawing upon the industries most knowledgeable staff, C&D continues to set the bar for aircraft combustion heaters. Every component has been engineered and manufactured with a commitment to two fundamentals, safe and reliable operation. And because our AOG service can guarantee shipment within 24-hours on most products you'll have what you need, when you need it.

Note the differences in new C&D Associates aircraft heaters from the original equipment, not only from its external design, but also in its operation and smooth heat delivery. Based on years of technical experience and proven service history, every C&D aircraft heating unit incorporates exclusive design characteristics unique to the industry. Some of the more obvious improvements include:

      • High-Output Electronic Ignition.
      • Fully Electronic Upper Limit Temperature Switch.
      • Newly Redesigned mechanical overheat switch.
      • Fail Safe Combustion Air Pressure Switch.
      • Long Life Permanent Magnetic Motors.
      • Powerful Fuel Solenoid With Integrated Fuel Filter.
      • Igniter/Spark Plug With Preset Gap.

Some of the greatest technological and safety advancements actually take place on the inside of C&D's combustion tube. Incorporated in the combustion tube is a specially designed mixer assembly where fuel and air are more efficiently mixed, allowing for a highly efficient burn with little or no smoke from the heaters exhaust in flight. Our combustion tubes also have reinforcements engineered into their design to eliminate implosion and distortion. In addition to all of that, areas of high temperature are coated with C&D "Durakoat™ " coating. Sure, we could show you a video of flame being blasted against a flat piece of metal with DuraKoat applied to it or maybe furnish a chart signifying its resistance to the caustic effects of fuel/air burn. These are available. Instead we thought we would just let DuraKoat's service history speak for itself. C&D's DuraKoat Combustion Tube, ten's of thousands of hours time in service and 20 years later, no A.D's. There's a reason our tag line is "Better By Design."

Your C&D replacement aircraft heater will come complete with a comprehensive service manual, combustion air blower assembly(which uses a long life permanent magnetic motor), and electric fuel pump (SouthWind replacements.)

Little, if any, modification is required, and a simple logbook entry is all that's needed to complete your installation.

Now lets talk service life of a C&D system. Recommended time before overhaul is 2000-hours. This means the combustion tube, motors, ignition unit, cycling, overheat and combustion air switches, yes everything is designed to last until overhaul is required. That even includes the igniter plug.

A 2000-hr/4-yr manufacturers warranty is included with all C&D aircraft combustion heaters.
